Through strategic partnership, innovative solutions, and capacity building, The Inkubator strives to build a resilient nonprofit sector that tackles society’s most pressing challenges. We work to fuel a collective force for positive social impact by building the infrastructure; and amplifying the reach and effectiveness of each organization we serve.
WHO WE SUPPORT
We work with a wide range of nonprofit organizations, including those focused on social justice, environmental sustainability, and community development. We are committed to supporting organizations making a positive impact in their communities and beyond. We have a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing nonprofits in these areas. Our partner organizations include startups as well as established nonprofits looking to expand their impact.
OUR TEAM
We are experienced professionals with a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector. Our team
members have backgrounds in philanthropy, fundraising, finance, law, and nonprofit management. We are dedicated to providing high-quality service and support to our partner organizations. We work closely with each organization to create a customized incubation plan that meets their unique needs, and we are committed to helping them achieve their goals.
Renée Joslyn
Renée Joslyn is a philanthropy advisor and impact strategist with more than 20 years of experience designing and implementing approaches advancing charitable missions around the world.
Renée founded The Inkubator after years of frustration seeing too many small, yet effective community-based organizations not receiving funding from institutions and individuals because they lacked a tax exemption. For those that were fortunate enough to be fiscally sponsored, many did not receive the support and guidance they needed to eventually receive that tax exemption status. Through The Inkubator, she is curating a space for growth, learning, strategy development, and launch for organizations that just need a little time and nurturing to feel confident enough to be independent.
Renée is also the Principal and Managing Director of Unboxed Philanthropy Advisors, where she supports individuals, families, foundations, and corporations on inclusive philanthropic projects and strategies – including direct funding, landscape mapping, and collaborative fund design and implementation.
Renée serves on the boards of Women’s Funding Network and Percent Pledge, an innovative platform for workplace giving.
