Through strategic partnership, innovative solutions, and capacity building, The Inkubator strives to build a resilient nonprofit sector that tackles society’s most pressing challenges. We work to fuel a collective force for positive social impact by building the infrastructure; and amplifying the reach and effectiveness of each organization we serve.

As a comprehensive fiscal sponsorship platform, we offer a wide range of services to our partner organizations, including:

  • Financial management and reporting

We provide support and guidance in building and implementing a financial plan, creating and managing budgets, and supporting funder reports.

  • Compliance and legal support

We help organizations understand and eventually navigate the legal and regulatory requirements associated with nonprofit status, including tax-exemption status, incorporation, and compliance with IRS rules.

  • Grant management and administration

We provide support with grant management, creating and implementing systems to ensure that grant proposals are submitted on time, grant awards are managed effectively, and grant reporting requirements are met.

  • Capacity building support

We offer a range of consulting services to help organizations build capacity and achieve their goals, which involves assessing an organization’s strengths and weaknesses and identifying areas of improvement to better achieve its objectives.

We are experienced professionals with a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector. Our team
members have backgrounds in philanthropy, fundraising, finance, law, and nonprofit management.

Renée Joslyn

Principal & Managing Director

Renée Joslyn is a philanthropy advisor and impact strategist with more than 20 years of experience designing and implementing approaches advancing charitable missions around the world.

Renée founded The Inkubator after observing too many small, yet effective community-based organizations not receiving funding from institutions and individuals because they lacked a tax exemption. For those that were fortunate enough to be fiscally sponsored, many did not receive the support and guidance they needed to eventually receive that tax exemption status. Through The Inkubator, she is curating a space for growth, learning, strategy development, and launch for organizations that just need a little time and nurturing to feel confident enough to be independent.
